CORNS A PAIN FOR THE FLYERS
Lye Town 1-2 Ludlow Town

A last gasp winner for Ludlow ensured another miserable afternoon for Lye Town. With the scores level going into added time, visiting midfielder Stuart Corns capitalised on hesitancy in the home defence to nod in the winner from a free kick.
Mark Baitch's side looked to have secured an unlikely draw after Ashley Greenaway had bundled the ball home with just eight minutes remaining, cancelling out Gareth Hamer's 40th minute opener for the men from Shropshire.
Indeed, the visitors could have gone further ahead just before Greenaway' leveller, but impressive midfielder Matt Elsmore fluffed his shot when one on one with McDonnell in the Lye goal and an earlier goal line clearance from a Tom Lappin header ensured Lye were still in with a shout during the final stages.
Brett McGilligan could have won it for the home side, his smart shot parried away to safety by Ayers but it was left to Corns to have the final say and leave the Flyers just one place above the relegation zone.
