STOURBRIDGE
RADIO GROUP LIMITED |
The Stourbridge Radio
Group Limited is the holding company of 102.5 The 'Bridge and is made up of
six directors plus a dedicated team of people bringing community radio
to Stourbridge and the surrounding areas.
Based in Stourbridge,
The 'Bridge is a station
like no other.
Operating under a
community radio licence, The 'Bridge
provides a service tailor-made for the community and supports
every aspect of the community, from local music to local sport, local
politics, news and entertainment.
The group itself was
formed in 2003 following on from Stourbridge-FM, which was a separate group which
tried to get a commercial radio station for the town. After this became an
impossibility, the leader of Stourbridge-FM decided to discontinue the
project.
The remaining members
formed the Stourbridge Radio Group and decided to pursue a community radio
licence instead.
The Stourbridge Radio
Group is a registered company limited by guarantee. It does not have a share
capital and is a not-for-profit corporation.
All funds generated by
Stourbridge Radio Group Limited are reinvested in the company to continue
its work within the community.
